Liverpool plot move for €30million Alisson alternative – report

Liverpool’s hunt for a new goalkeeper remains in progress after an apparent step back in their pursuit of Roma’s Alisson.
Liverpool plot move for €30million Alisson alternative – report

The Reds are set to turn their attention elsewhere after being put off by the Brazilian’s reported £80m valuation, with Real Madrid having seemingly entered pole position for his signature.
Alisson made a lasting impression in his first full season as starter in Rome, claiming a place as his nation’s no.1 ahead of Manchester City’s Ederson.
He also remains relatively inexperienced at the age of just 23-years-old, presenting him as a risky acquisition in consideration of how difficult the transition to English football can be for goalkeepers in particular.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have also been linked with Jasper Cillessen amid speculation he could be on his way out of Barcelona.
Reports on Merseyside have also reverted to the strong possibility of Jurgen Klopp sensationally putting his faith in Loris Karius and Danny Ward as his two goalkeepers heading into the new season.
An interesting link surrounding Strakosha comes in the form of Lazio’s reported interest in Liverpool prospect Marko Grujic and the consequent suggestions of the two deals being related.
With Alisson supposedly out of the picture, prepare for a barrage of ‘new targets’.
